Craft Beer Blog
This past Wednesday evening while out on a walk in East Nashville, I started getting multiple text messages, and all of them were from friends and supporters at the Best of Nashville event. They were sharing that the three best beer events (we would prefer craft beer events) were Brew at the Zoo, East Nashville Beer Festival, and 12 South Winter Warmer. The readers of the Nashville Scene chose all 3, and needless to say we are honored and excited to hold the category!
We started all three of these events with a common goal in mind, to offer Nashville the best craft beer tastings and festivals possible. It takes a lot to do it, but when done right the experience is like no other. We would like to of course thank everyone who attends our events, but most importantly our … Read More »

We are very excited to be back for our second year of the Tennessee Volksfest, Nashville’s true Munich-style Oktoberfest. This year’s Volksfest is once again brought to you by Hallmark Volkswagen of Cool Springs & Rivergate. Make sure you head over to either location by September 13th at 7pm to complete a test drive of a 2015 Jetta for your chance to WIN a 3 year 30,000 mile lease of a 2015 Jetta!
Visit www.tennesseevolksfest.com for full details, and while you are at it, you can pre-purchase beer and food tokens. As a thank you for buying in advance, we are giving you one extra token!
Both Saturday and Sunday’s festivities will begin at 11am at our amazing new home the Nashville Farmers’ Market. We will be located in the North Sheds of the market; we promise it is very easy to … Read More »
So now that we are some what recovered from ENBF, we wanted to take a moment and share the good juju that follows our efforts and of course all of your support! This past Wednesday we hosted our donation ceremony at Yazoo Brewing Company; as an added bonus they tapped the first keg of their 2014 Brett Saison, and even donated $1 from every pint to Ride for Reading.
For those that are not aware all Rhizome Productions events have a charitable impact, and for ENBF we have been supporting Ride for Reading since day one. Ride for Reading was started in East Nashville by Mathew Portell, and their mission is to promote literacy and healthy living via bicycle by delivering books to schools, via bicycle of course. They started with a focus on Nashville and have been growing since day … Read More »

This past Saturday was the East Nashville Beer Festival, one of my favorite days of the year. This festival marks the beginning of spring, when locals emerge from their houses, put on their sunglasses and step outside to mingle. The festival officially started at noon, but we arrived a half hour early so we could get our IDs checked and get in quickly. Gate entry was really efficient this year with teams of two checking IDs and scanning tickets at the same time. This prevented any entry backup and as soon as the festival was open we sauntered right through the gate.
I made my way right to the Tennessee tent to try out some of my local favorites. Calfkilleralways provides some of my favorite beers … Read More »

It has been sometime since our last blog post and for that we are sorry. The Fall and Winter of 2013 had us might busy at the Rhizome Productions camp. You might have noticed that we added several new events in Nashville, as well as in Greenville South Carolina. We have had a few weeks to stop, and smell the hops but we are now hard at work planning our 2014 events.
First up on March 22, we will return to Tupelo, Mississippi where we host the Tupelo Craft Beer Festival. Last years festival was a great time, despite cold wind, and snow; yes all of that in Tupelo! It is great to see the direction Mississippi is moving in regards to beer as a whole, and in just one year our lineup of MS breweries has doubled! We are excited … Read More »
Back in October we got to bring along some of our friends from Native (Nashville based magazine) along for a ride on the Nashville Brew Bus. We drank some good beer, ate some good food, talked shop, and overall enjoyed. They wrote an article about who we are and what we are all about, check it out-http://native.is/drink/matt-leff/
Thats right folks, we are at it again! We are very excited to be bringing our passion and creativity to Greenville, South Carolina on November 16th, 2013. As many of you likely have noticed, Nashville and the state of Tennessee is quickly becoming a destination for craft beer seekers and supporters. With all the excitement in the craft beer world we were honored when the Tennessee State Fair Association came to us for support and guidance on hosting the first all Tennessee Brewery event, right here in Nashville. With the support of over twenty breweries, the Tennessee Craft Brewers Guild, and several key people, we all are very excited to announce that on September 6th, 2013 we will host the Taste of Tennessee Craft Brewers Festival.
This will be the first time, likely in the history of Tennessee, that there will be an event that celebrates locally brewed beer from all over our great state. You can expect over 60 different beers, gourmet food trucks, beer education, meet … Read More »
OK folks here is the information you all have been waiting to hear. As we said previously we plan to sell tickets to the 12 South Winter Warmer on TWO different days, increasing everyones chances. Please understand there are several factors that keep the Winter Warmer small:
1-Sevier Park is not very big and offers no parking, therefore we try to minimize our impact on the community.
2-A large percentage of the beers that are offered at the Winter Warmer are very rare, and sometimes only exist at the Winter Warmer.
That being said our two on sale days will be: Friday October 11th 9AM CST, and Saturday October 12th 8AM CST. Mark your calendars and be prepared.
We can’t wait to see you all again!
